CC-100 Crack Chasing Saw
Part Number: SX90102
The CC-100 is a gas powered crack chasing saw that is designed to rout out random cracks in concrete and asphalt surfaces prior to filling with a repair product or sealant. The CC-100 is intended to be used on parking garages, runways and large open warehouses. The CC-100 will cut up to 1” deep and up to ½” wide. High production rates and high accuracy are achieved as the operator pulls the crack chaser backward so they have clear sight of the blade and the crack they are cutting. The geometry of the frame lets the saw pivot and turn on the blade to make crack chasing effortless and intuitive. Several dust port configurations allow the CC-100 to be used with a variety of vacuums and hose sizes. U.S.SAWS recommends a vac with at least 350CFM.
1. What is this machine used for?
Routing out random cracks in concrete or asphalt prior to filling the cracks with a sealant. It is mostly used in parking garages, lots, and large warehouses where cracks need to be filled for waterproofing.
2. How deep does it cut?
1″ deep max with a 6″ blade.
3. How wide does it cut?
1/2″ is the max, however most people use a 1/4″ or 3/8″ width blade. Either a square segment or “V” blade is acceptable.
4. What size vacuum do I need?
300 cfm minimum. The U.S.SAWS Ultravac 1250 G is a good choice.
5. Can I cut wet with it?
This machine is intended to be used dry
6. Does it use special blades?
The blades must have a 5/8″ arbor, have a drive pin hole, and undercut protection segments.
7. How do you see the crack your cutting?
The operator pulls the machine backward, so they can see the blade making it’s way through the crack. This position makes this saw very accurate and efficient.
